The Misuse of Limit Break

Welp just ran into the second person in one day to wast Limit Break on trash mobs. The first person stopped after a warning so no mention of him will be here. However one Dragoon by the name of Oxy Creed was so kind as to act like a brat and state "I'll use them whenever I want to" and since I was leveling my White Mage at the time I stated "You waste limit break I stop healing you."

Poor little guy was all mad and raging when he died because I stopped healing him. If you are in a group of people you know who don't mind you spamming LB all you want. Fine and Dandy. However if you're in a random group who will be using it at key fights and you waste it. *holds up Frypan* Don't be surprised if you're in my group and find yourself meeting this and if that's not enough, the heals keeping you up will stop if I'm holding that spot.

Kind of bratty to come tattle don't ya think? It's a limit break, they come back you know?

To be fair, limit break isn't all that necessary for 90% of leveling content. I only saw a need for it when first stepping into HMs. I understand its a waste if you can just LB bosses and clear the instance 15 seconds faster, but is it really needed to let DPS die? If you think about it, letting someone die is more of a hindrance than that person using LB...

We specially designed it so you can just go ahead and press it, it doesn’t have to be necessary to use Limit Breaks. However, in the more difficult battles you will have to consider when to use them, which one to use, which level, which action, that’s going to come up when we introduce the endgame content. From Lv50 onwards, we’ll have to make sure you use them at the right time, but before Lv50 just try your own Limit Break and see what kind of effect it has."

people need to lean what each class/job LB dose at each level
form look at what each LB is for

Gladiator / Paladin/Marauder / Warrior,
only use if your party need a defense boost

Conjurer / White Mage/Archer / Bard,
if you need a big heal fast

Pugilist / Monk/Lancer / Dragoon
when the a boss is almost dead

Thaumaturge / Black Mage
also when the a boss is almost dead (and/or there many many adds that can be hit by the LB)


i think they do need to work on fixing the LB system
more variety
Archer / Bard LB why healing?

a nice AoE (level 3)
a good Strong single attack (level 2)
and healing (level 1)

Couldn't of said it any better.. By doing that you're actually be more childish and ruining the dungeon more then Oxy was.. Good job on sinking lower then Oxy.. /clap

I dislike it when people spam LB, especially on boss fights with only one bar full >.>. So much fail. They are also the people who don't think, "who will give us the most benefit from using the limit break?"

Because up until mid August, Bard was a support role and did offhealing and such. They changed it at the last minute and never re-adjusted the LB's. It'll happen in time I'm sure. Though the level 2 rez is pretty nice from what i hear.

I think it was a bit of an overreaction to just let the person die because they used LB in a leveling dungeon. On that same token the individual may think twice before using it later on or you may have just enabled him to be an even bigger douche for other groups.

For leveling content and normal mode Primals I couldn't really care less when or if anyone uses LB, however in HM's I will more than likely expect it to be saved for key moments. LB's can provide significant boosts during critical points in a fight and you typically have many of those in HM's from my experience.
