24 man Tanking, How many tanks allowed

I am just wondering if we have the hard info on how the 24 man raids are going to work?

As someone who has a lvl 50 PLD and is working on getting his war to 50 (ill decide which to use once I get em both to max level), I am concerned about how many tanks are going to be allowed in a raid. A 24 man group comprises of 6 normal groups, if I am to assume they are going with the standard 2 tank system, then we are firing 4 tanks when it comes to 24 man raids when compared to 8 man.

This isn't WoW where you choose weather you want to be part of a 10 man raid or 25 man raid, you have to do both raids to see all the content, and to top that off, this game uses a 4 person group rather than 5.

How is this going to work out? are you telling me that people who tank hard more 8 man raids will not do 24 man raiding?

just speculation but based on other games it will probably be 1 to 3 tanks at any given time. Could even be up to a 4th but i doubt that will be very common.

Sounds like you are worried that you wont be able to gear your PLD up. For my FC I have set up the rules that you declare a main job, lets say PLD. We are full on tanks so I ask you to DPS. Though you are running a DPS job we will have it set up so you can still roll for the PLD gear as it is your main job. We will also rotate tanks through, if their skill permits, to allow everyone to tank. If a FC isn't willing to work with everyone then it isn't one worth being in.
