Cynosure is a Free Company based on the North American (NA) Siren server. The FC (Guild) name it’s self has roots going as far back as Everquest1 where some of the founding members had once been part of an early carnation of the "guild” name, even then Cynosure was known for its end game progression and raid teams, a symbol and token of player and guild excellence.

Our goal and aim is to be known and achieve sever status as being one of the top and most proficient end game progression Free Companies around, to this end we employ a variety of talented players, not solely focused on combat jobs or roles. Trade Crafts, Field Crafts, Battle Crafts and even PvP all play vital roles in developing our reputation.

Hey Renji -

I like what I see on your site, but I couldn't find any timezone/event times information. When does the guild tend to plan events? A friend and I are looking to join an FC (lvl 44 Bard and Paladin) and was hoping to find one that operates around our available game times.

Ideally, we plan to have multiple teams up and running. What this would mean for you, is that there would likely be a team based around your specific play times. At the moment, most of us tend to focus our play time on a pacific standard time schedule, however as far as the actual progression content goes, the official dates and times will be put up to vote once official teams have been formed and dedicated.

For everyone, keep in mind while Cynosure plans and is actively working on being a major progression force on the Siren server, we do not aim to be "elitist", such behavior is rather counter constructive toward progression goals. With this said, we do have governing rules to help ensure a drama free FC and that everyone is afforded the same and equal rights within the FC itself.
What we are not looking for, are players that expect to be carried. We all need to understand that at this point in the game everything is fairly new, players should not be expecting FC's to carry them. These type of players are usually lazy, and do little to actually contribute to the community. What we are seeking are members that are and will remain dedicated to their expectations, players that understand that progression requires effort, hard work and often time’s hours of frustration

I hit 50 a little while ago and as much I tried to make friends, I overleveled them and now I'm among a sea of other tanks. I've earned everything I have myself. I'm 3 pieces away from full tanking darklight before I start my chimera for my relic quest. I like being prepared and studying fights before I enter them and I am looking for a community where I can continue to grow as a player and hopefully call a permanent home.

I am busy outside the game outside the game, but when I'm available I am tolerant, patient, and consistent. I will and have worked for every piece of gear and every bit of progress I've made, so don't expect me to ask for hand outs. I have no problems at all with helping lower leveled players and other members progress with their own goals, even if I reap no benefit of my own. I believe, based on your website and this thread, that this fc would suit me. So, where do I sign up?

Titan HM was finally downed by Cynosure on 10/12/2013! Great work team! We may have been a bit behind a few other top FC's but we made it and have proven our worth. Keep up the effort.
With that being said, Cynosure is still openly accepting applicants to help fill out our raiding teams. Currently in high demand for White Mages, Summoner and or Black Mages, a few spots open for Warrior tanks as well.
