there are 2 spells one for spell speed and one for skill speed... havent tried skill speed since its for melee classes but it cant be much different in value then fey glow
Set your pets to "obey" and they will only ever use their first skill(3 seconds) automatically and never use the others. You have to do this every time you zone, though.
Personally, as PLD tank(50) I prefer SCH for heals. Mitigation tank + mitigation heals = win. They take more skill than a WHM to be "good" though. I would say, practice healing some 50 dungeons with some friends before you do pubs and get everybody hating you cause you're still learning.
Priotirize crit and your 1k crit heals give me a 2k damage barrier afterwards. Mmmmmmmmmm.
I noticed for the "Obey" command to truly make your pet only use the first skill is to target a mob and hit obey. If you dont then the pet will continue to spam the other abilities. Man I truly hope they do a better job with the pet...
Its less than rouse (1m CD) but rouse is for pet only. SCH got no CD of the same sort to speak off, but the pet is bugged so it does not have much use beyond helping you spamming embrace a lil stronger.If spell speed reduces GCD its not useless, and it doesn't buff just you right? I might be mistaken but doesn't it apply to the entire raid?
Btw white mages get presence of mind, and its 10 seconds with a 300 sec recast. Only on us obviously. Wondering how effective that is vs the sch skill.
Its good to know i have a place atleast. i wish i had Medica ;~;
they should give SCH a buff that is specific to the class, right now we can use a nerfed version of Protect compared to WHM, maybe give us a buff like increased spell cast by a certain percent. That way a group would have more incentive to take 1 SCH and 1 WHM over 2 WHM, diversify.
For the Scholars who are having issues with the fairies I don't really get it. I have never micro-managed Eos, nor would I ever. The Scholars who are having problems healing either just can't grasp it or the tank is standing in to much stuff. I hear people talking a lot about Brayflox's Landing..if the tank stays out of things, it's simple. One run through there the tank died really quickly because he REFUSED to move, literally said he was not going to move, so I let him die. The monk took over and tanked and I healed him through the whole fight with a black mage. So for the ones having problems with mana management, I NEVER run out of mana. It would have to be a fight so long, with everyone getting hit with stuff because they are not moving for me to run out of mana. Hit your Aetherflow, that restores mana. Tab over to the mob your tank is hitting and hit energy drain, it works wonders. I never let my mana drop below 75%, and I never have an issue.
You are level 42. Get to 50, do a decent HM like garuda n titan to see how far you can go without ever microing the fairy. There are few ~50 instances that can give you trouble but you aint required to run them everyday.
Why people think they can act all high and mighty when they havent even reached 50 yet, let alone do real end game stuff?
That's like... your credibility committing suicide in less than a sentence.
... or there's a half dozen badly injured people at once, and a SCH's job in that scenario is to tell the WHM to handle it...The Scholars who are having problems healing either just can't grasp it or the tank is standing in to much stuff.
actually no it's not at all. If the scholar can't keep the tank up, it's probably the tank. And no, in a group people work together to keep the team up. So when you have a thought, let it go.
