its not much, looks promising on tooltip but turned out horrible lol. I suspect its only speeds up speed bonus from your stats/gear, not base 2.5s cast time/GCD >.>
I bet many instantly think of WOW's bloodlust/heroism. I can tell you its not the case![]()
aside from the fact that I have yet to find any theroycrafter listing a diminishing return value for spell spped (all table I found doesn't report such value and list the SS retunr as linear...) with a value over 1000 of SS (achived thx to WHM 100% increase spell speed ability) there is no sign of such diminishing return... so if u have seen such diminishing in effect or have red about it somewhere it will be really interesting to see/hear about it since (at least for me) it would be first... (also note that at the moment no cap nor diminishing return has been found for basic stat as well...)
last... the 30% increase spell speed effect is based on the spell speed u accumulate... if u'r targeting that stat as a secondary and spending some materia/chosing equip in order to increase it the return from the 30% increase will be higher... but that aside... a 0,1 gcd reduction is traslated in 4% increased healing/dmg output... just the same effect of a 8% increased critical chance... nothing that sould really be overlooked...
PS: spell speed increase increase your value of spell speed that is generated by your base spell speed (around 400 at lvl 50 that generate the 2,5 natural gcd) + all the spell speed acquired trough equip... so if u have equip for 100 SS it will be a total of 500 SS... multiply that for 30% and u will have a new total SS of 650... since every 10,5 point of SS above the base lvl (the around 400 that I mentioned early) reduce the GCD by 0,01 the actual added 250 SS (650 - 400 basic SS) will generate a total GCD reduction of 2,3 ...
it's all about how much u invest on the stat... if u have invested near to nothing u will only get the increase of the base value... if u start stacking up SS than the return will increase
it's all about choice... more crit rate for increased proc of adloquim shield or more SS for increased return of SS increase? that could be traslated in burst healing (burst shilding should be the more apropriate here...) against continual healing efficency... also the effect of the increase SS is also based on your party setup... if u get other player that have invested on SS they willalso get a good return... if they also went for crit or determination the effect will be poor on them too...

I`v seen nothing of sorts.
Nor did I calculated anything. All I know is that mobs go down noticeably faster when I use them (depending on the party setup). And that`s good.
Me personally have no problem healing my WAR tank in The Coil of Bahamut Turn 1 as a SCH.
And that is with having Eos in the middle of the party to raidheal, while our WHM heals our PLD, maybe throwing out a Medica II if its getting a little tight.
Also had no problem doing the Main Tank healing on Titan Hard, with my Warrior Tank.
Haven't tried Turn 2 yet.
its not as strong as labeled... trust me... and it lasts only 30 sec with a 1 min cd... not really worth it.. SE needs to fix the % written or make the actual increas what is labeled because 1.97 sec cast time to a drop of 1.88 is NOT a 30% spell speed increase... its 30% from the spell speed you HAVE.. and in that makes a huge difference. if the caster doesn't stack speed that spell is useless
Well, as much work as I'm putting towards prepping for Scholar (THM to 26, ACN to 30, CONJ to 15, etc.) I hope we are "used." I really, really hope I'm valued as a Scholar!!![]()
For those that think Fey Glow is such a big deal... i have 376 spell speed and gain 112 spell speed with FG(488 total). Spell Speed on gear is not added in the equation. The amount that it increases Physick (1.97 sec cast time) it only drops it to a 1.88 sec cast time. I would need about another 350-400 spell speed to really notice a difference healing with the amount gained from FG. Therefore FG is useless. Nice on paper but not in actual combat.

If spell speed reduces GCD its not useless, and it doesn't buff just you right? I might be mistaken but doesn't it apply to the entire raid? For those that think Fey Glow is such a big deal... i have 376 spell speed and gain 112 spell speed with FG(488 total). Btw white mages get presence of mind, and its 10 seconds with a 300 sec recast. Only on us obviously. Wondering how effective that is vs the sch skill.

it doesnt reduce GCD.. and the WHM skill is far more effective.... 377 spell speed into 754 spell speed and my cure 1 (to match the physic i labeled) 1.97 dropped to 1.68 and the CD 2.46 dropped to 2.1.. yes whm speed buff is more useful. and for all those saying cure2 is 550,,, its not... its 650 cure potencyIf spell speed reduces GCD its not useless, and it doesn't buff just you right?
