Most people do just fine with some Darklight accessories and their Ifrit weapon. You can also run Wanderer's Palace and Aurum Vale for some slight upgrades/side grades from your AF as well as get some tomes of philosophy.

Tanked the place just fine with AF1 and my level 44 GC axe.
We went as a party and we were all on mumble together, which im sure helped quite a bit.
Like has been said before, Demon wall is a DPS race, and so is the last boss. Not sooo much the last boss, but if he gets off 5 Catastrophes its over.

Woe to the vanquished, mournful tear, glorious...Eternal King...Ah...Whom today we commemorate...I am the death of death.
Do this run regularly with my free company mates and most of us are still in AF and upgrading with whatever we get from AK. I have a staff from 1.0 with ilvl 52. Our tank has been doing AK with 41 sword and 44 shield(lol). Just know the boss strategies and it's cake. I'm the healer so that helps a bunch lol. This dungeon isn't as difficult as most make it out to be. It offers Tier 1 and Tier 2 tomestones so it's clearly meant to be farmed by fresh 50s.
AF 1 , LVL 44 GC weapon, 40+ Jewlery, 40+ Belt, Perform your proper rotation, Kill the adds and stun when they try to AoE, stay on the bosses as long as you can.
People severely over rate this dungeon.
For WHM, It's not as serious, just be smart and the requirements are pretty much the same.
The DPS threshold for Demon Wall isn't that serious. Same goes for the final boss. Anything higher than the requirements I listed is just fluff to make the run faster.
Just use limits smartly and pay attention and the dungeon is far from difficult.
Alright so here my problem I have a champions lance with 2 materia melds on it for the proto type relic weapon. I haven't traded it in yet because I still have not seen the spear drop in Bowl of embers (Hard). I was going to get my GC spear but I have to beat Ak in order to get the promotion. Almost every time I get into AK which is about 50mins. Someone in the party ask me to leave because they said I don't have dps when we haven't even move>.<.

Thats my character stats atm do you guys think its good enough for AK or just spam Bowl of embers until I get a spear?
@Timeless : That's more than enough, so long as you play your role properly.
You are perfectly fine, however who you get teamed up with is a different story. Duty Finder typically finds brand new level 50's who have just unlocked the dungeon and haven't upgraded their weapon from god knows when. Your gear and weapon are better then most I've seen at level 50 in random dungeons though.
It's not that I forget, it's just that I don't care.
If you were on my server, i would take you along no problem. I would say to learn the run, run it with people from your own server. DF sucks for learning new content.Alright so here my problem I have a champions lance with 2 materia melds on it for the proto type relic weapon. Alright thanks Cynric.
Yeah no problem, If anyone turns you down they're just being ridiculous. If we could choose people from other worlds and party with them, I'd gladly run with you.
