I'm really on the fence about having a kick option for the duty finder. On the one hand, you wouldn't be at the mercy of jerks like this. As soon as he tried to play this 'game', you could all mass-vote kick him and get a new tank in ASAP. On the other hand, it opens up a whole new can of worms... linkshell groups mass-kicking someone because they have the same job as someone in the LS who needs the weapon, or people kicking someone because they disagree about a strategy... or kicking someone over some stupid opinion about gear... blah, blah, blah. It's a hard problem to solve.

Also -- just because one jerk did this doesn't mean the majority of players are jerks. For every jerk I've seen, I've played with a bunch more that were nice. As far as this being something coming over from WoW... I don't necessarily agree with that. Back when you couldn't cross-server group or use the dungeon finder, people were forced to be nice because you had a reputation. When they introduced dungeon finder, some people stopped caring because they were just from some random servers. The worst things I have heard have been in dungeon finder. The same is true of duty finder in FFXIV -- except you can't even see the person's world. You'd have to look them up and hope their name was unique. So, of course people are taking the opportunity to be jerks. There's no consequences. In FFXI, if you did something bad, everyone on the server heard about it and you were socially blacklisted within days. If you ninja'd an item, good luck finding any endgame LS who would trust you again. Your reputation followed you and it kept your behavior in check. So, I'm not saying MORE jerky players exist, but just that they have more opportunity to be jerks without any repercussions.
