    Are stat boosting some or any of the stat boosting mega potions even useful at all?

    I don't even think some of the stat potions have a worthwhile impact. I can craft them and gather and hunt down all the material. I enjoy doing that so it doesn't feel like time wasted and I save gil.

    But if some or most of the stat potions with there 15 second duration have no noticeable impact then why should I bother to craft them to use myself, let alone expect anyone to want to buy them.

    I would like some evidence that a mega-potion of strength or a mega-potion of vitality that last 15 seconds has any significant impact at all. I've been experimenting with the mega-potion of strength while running as Paladin. I often pop one then do circle of scorn, spirits within or a rage of halone combo. I can't see a significant effect to use it as far as I can tell, even if the hq versions give an even bigger boost to the stat.

    I feel like some of the Alchemist potions are just filler for the Alchemist crafting list.

    I understand Square not wanting to serious imbalance the game. But if you give us something to craft like this, it should it least be of some use please.

    I see it more situational.

    For tanks pop a vitality before a big hit. Healers top you, stoneskin, adlo..and you are ready. I think that mega potion of vitality on a correctly geared tank is around 1000HP boost.

    If all dps pop a (str, dex, int, mnd if healer ) potion during a phase that needs a quick dps that might do the trick.
    Not impressive if only one person uses it, but surely noticeable if all do at the same time

    But they should separate cooldowns. I don't see which role would not be needed if they separate cooldowns

    Lets try remove roles using potions in High level content

    Lets see how game breaking if we could pop consecutively
    1 restorative potion
    1 stat boost/ward 15s (i would even separate these 2)
    1 status removal/inflict

    you have just a bit more option, I can't really see how you can replace someone because the cooldowns would be fine as they are now.

    If potions could remove a role, then they could remove a role now.

    remove a healer? then we could already do that doesn't change, you could have a 15s +1000HP or resist boost and pop a heal potion but bosses do strike faster than 5 minutes
    remove a dps? only damage potion is poison, could already be done
    remove a tank? hmm this one I don't even know how

    BUT : I am only concerned by PVE.
    in pvp maybe that would be different. Sadly I am afraid some pve are affected by the pvp (I am all for people to have fun with it and will probably try one day)

    1st of all all three potions (Mana, hp and stat) shouldnt share the same cool down. If you use an elixir, ok it can have the same cool down. Stat boosting potion should have the duration increased to 20-30 seconds or time cut to 150 seconds.

    If you want an enduring stat boost, eat food. Potions do not provide any significant advantage comparable to any ability with a five minute cooldown. 10 seconds is wholly insigificant, even if you use an 'earth potion' just before getting nailed with a Mountain Buster from Titan, it isn't going to have any significant impact.

    Potions are a waste of resources, except high-grade MP pots for healers.

    Took the words out of my mouth.. If you're looking for longer and sometimes cheaper stat boosts eat food. You can eat buttons for dmg up then switch to lava toad legs for other boosts. way more bang for your buck, especially if you're a culinarian.
