    FinalFantasy Config - Unresponsive Multisampling

I'll get to the point. Whatever option I pick with the AA in my FFConfig, be it 16xQ CSAA or just x2 MSAA. I don't notice any difference, and it would appear that I don't have the option turned on at all. However, stuff like shadows, textures, ect. do change.
After a patch sometime in February, is when it actually started acting like this. (It used to work just fine) I figured it would fix itself if I reinstall, unfortunately I didn't bother reinstalling until recently.

    The problem still persist.

Its not so much fixing the problem, as much as it is knowing about it. I'd also like to know, if possible when this will be fixed in the future.
Any information on this would be appreciated, I tried looking it up but didn't dig up anything.

    Windows Vista 64 bit
    NVIDIA GTX460
    4GB ram
    Quad 2.50 GHz

have you checked the nvidia control panel 3d settings yet?
it's possible that for whatever reason the anti-aliasing isn't set to application anymore.
soon it's changed to off or to any value controlled by the nvidia control panel it's possible that the FFXIV configs AA won't have an effect on the game anymore.

Seems that whatever I do in my Nvidia control panel doesn't effect it either. I did a little messing around with it, either having it enhance the AA, forcing it, letting the application decide or just turning it off. Game still appears like I have no AA at all.

Is there anyway for me to change it so the FFXIVConfigs do have an effect on the game?

    hmmm, beats me.
the only ways to get AA is by either forcing it or let the game handle it.
so far i'm not aware of other ways to get AA other then force or app.

have you installed the latest driver, or did you try to do a clean sweep on your current driver?
maybe it will help, but i can't promise it.
i'm on 2x460 myself here, but everything is working just fine :/

I have noticed anti-aliasing doing almost nothing above 4x, visually or by GPU usage.

It is on though, but it's not effective like other games. Aliasing still exists, and fully exists with objects inside other objects (like windows). Perhaps that's what you're seeing if you're playing on a lower resolution?

Thing is, I have screen shots from when it worked before. The difference is very significant and Its a little silly to say but, I'm used to seeing smoother edges and its hard for me to play knowing something like that isn't functioning. I'll try doing a clean sweep of my driver since its updated. Maybe install it to a different harddrive as a last stitch effort.
But I'll inevitably scrap the game again if I can't resolve it at the moment.

Thanks for the possible solutions though, I hope they come through.
