Cutscene after Stone Vigil (Spoilers)

In the cutscene with Cid on the airship, when he is telling his backstory, what was up with that part with my character giving him the goggles? Did I miss something major? My character seemed to know what he was talking about, but I'd never seen anything related to it before.

Hmm my interpretation of this is that it was you using the echo to travel into the past in his mind and the goggles were a representation of his memories. So your character used the power of the echo to give him his memories back? I'm not a lore expert though, you'll have to wait for the big guys!

I guess that's a good way to interpret it. As a metaphor for his memories.

Otherwise if you look at it literally, Cid asks if you were the one that gave him the goggles, and you're just like "Yup.".

Ya i did not understand that part also maybe there more too the echo they we may know. If someone can give some insight i love to hear it i think that CS was one of my fav so far.

Considering he had his goggles in 1.0 before you two made each other's acquaintance, I'm going with "metaphor".

As far as I'm concerned, the goggles serve to physically represent what makes Cid "Cid", and that part of his identity was blocked from him until your presence and actions literally put that identity back into his own hands.

Additionally, as sort of a two-for-one deal, the revealing of what those goggles covered on his forehead brought out another point of interest...

Also, remember that Cid himself said that pure blood Garleans have a third eye. While this is not really explored, there is a posibility that Cid's third eye may have helped him perceive the effects of your player character traveling into his memories via the echo.

You are the guy who got the goggles from Cid so you could go back in time and hand the goggles to Cid in the past so he can hand them back to you in the future.

I remember upon first seeing Nero's face I thought the "eye" was a jewel.

Now we know that Garleans are literally a bunch of Tien Shinhans.

Gotta watch out for that Tri-Beam, lol.

The funny thing is that they used the model for the head jewel dunesfolk lalafell have as an option. I also thought it was just a jewel for fashion purposes. I wonder if that was intentional or it was just used by the devs to save themselves time.
