I guess i'm not the only one disappointed discovering we needed players of our server to do the raid dhorme chimera at Weeping Saint
If interested, i'm forming a group of english speaking players doing this raid on Ifrit server, willing to help others too, even if completed yet.

Hi Teon, unfortunaley I am not on Ifrit server, but I wanted to share this with you in hope of making the fight much easier for you.

I know this can usually be done with just one tank, but for this method you will need 2 and one will have to be a PLD.

Since PLD has a stun (Shield Bash) on GCD, they will have it up for every Voice. That PLDs sole purpose is going to be to use Shield bash on both Dragon's and Ram's Voice. The entre group needs to make sure they DO NOT use any abilitys that stun so that Chimera will not build up resistance towards stun. When I did this I was able to stun every single voice he casted. The rest of the group just needs to make sure they are running away from everyone when targeted by the Orb buring Ram's Keeper. If the stunning PLD gets targeted by the Orb, all Melee need to move away from the PLD and mages need to focus removing Paralyze from the stunning PLD first.

Ok well hopefully i dont get flamed for what i am about to say...
i dont like the fact that the only way to eficiently get this done is to only have the "right" make-up. This makes it very difficult to get this done weather with pugs or in guild, because if your a healer but not a WHM most groups i have pugged will just drop group before it starts after saying need to be a WHM. So now i am forced to level a WHM just get Ifrit HM completed.So like Thalos has said in his walk thru must haev a PLD for the stun, why didnt the other tank classes get a stun. I hope SE can see that this causes issues and "balances" some of this stuff. (i.e. Scholar doesnt have a Sleep) Also not on Ifrit server but good luck

Well just 1 paladin is needed, using shield bash. Second tank can be a war, and every other class can be picked randomly until the core formation (2 tank 4 dps 2 healer ) is ready.
Doesn't really matter if both healers are 2 scholars, for this fight.
Paladin makes things easier (and doable) with shield bash. But a jp friend confirmed me they made that boss without a paladin. Well geared (i LVL 70) made the trick.

I won this battle with 2 paladin, 2 blm 1 lancer 1 monk, 2 whm, but i can reassure you if 2nd healer was a scholar i was going to invite it, regardless of what some "guides" suggested

And i can confirm you 100%, scholars perform perfectly on ifrit HM, i partnered with them dozen times, and they performed perfectly.
Play the scholar if you like it, don't reroll just because some jerks made you think whm is "needed" Sleep is a tactical skill to make things easier. A true healer is not scared, not using sleep to keep the party up.
(Clearly if you're having difficult to keep up, BE THE JERK pretending a blm with sleep, turn their weapon against them , blm can cast sleep immediately, you have a slow cast and you waste time instead of heal)

Last but not least, if you was planning to get the scholar relic, reroll as whm will mess up your entire career, and you will not complete this quest as scholar but as whm, continuing the path to get the whm relic weapon.
Play the game as you like it, not like some ignorants wants to force you

Yeah, to be honest your party comp really doesn't matter for this fight as long as you have some sort of stun/silence to deal with the voices. If you're lacking in cc you can always use the stacking method to avoid dragon's voice. In my run however we had 1 paladin, 2 white mages, 1 dragoon and 4 bards LOL so the paladin didn't even need to shield bash because we always had a silence up. I just wish they would make a duty finder for this boss, I had to stand in that area for 7 hours in order to finally find a party and complete it.

True hehe, bard makes this fight way easier with silence. The "suggested" perfect composition would be 2 paladin (for shield bash), 2 scholars (silence), 2 blm (blm limit break), 2 whm. Nah

If you're relying on the paladin to stop some of the voices i think white mages might be a better option, simply because their esuna is instant and is needed to cure the tank of paralysis. In previous runs I've wiped many times because the paladin was paralyzed and couldn't get the empowered dragon's voice in time

Scholar has Leeches to remove a condition, 1s cast time like esuna , if used quickly with proper gear and food it's perfectly manageable
