My friend is struggling with the launcher.

My friend is trying to play Realm Reborn, but every time they start the launcher they get an error that says - FFXIV Boot Error: Unable to complete version check. [30605][20448][10009][10019] - and we can't figure out why.

A little background - The other day I realised I already registered my copy of the game back when 1.0 was released, so the registration code I did have in my Realm Reborn Collector's Edition was worthless to me. I had only bought it for the physical items. But a friend of mine did want to play the game, so I decided to give them my code from the Collector's Edition. We had a look for the launcher on Lodestone, and I thought we had found it, but they can't get it up update at all.

Do they still need the disc? Or is there something we're doing wrong?

And I also want to apologise is gifting the registration code is frowned upon. I wasn't going to use it, so I thought someone would be able to make use of it if I wasn't going to.

Edit: I also want to add, we checked Mog Station, and they were registered for Windows and everything looked to be in order. The launcher, for whatever reason, won't update when he starts it. I don't think he has been able to reach the log in yet.

I don't have the answer, but you can type some of those codes into the search blank to see others discussing the problem. Try 30605 , then try 20448, etc.

I'll do that, thanks. I'll keep an eye on this thread, too, and see if anyone gets back to me here as well. I'll let my friend know also, so they can have a look themselves.
