i think its just because they didnt think about what a mess can be in a full boss in a fate hehehe at least change color!!

Or a way to filter out other people's debuffs
SMN can make up for a lot of short comings with proper mob management on the part of the tank and substantial foresight on the part of the summoner. SMN is a far more involved class to play than BLM, and if you're looking for something you can quickly switch to without missing a beat, I would strongly discourage SMN to most players as they simply are not able to perform. SMN is a class that will take memorization on the part of both the tank and the SMN on each and every fight to do this maximal damage people are talking about. Garuda for instance, the feather's can be AOE'd if the Summoner has all the DoT's needed already up and with enough time left on them, has saved an aether charge, and is able to react within the 2ish seconds the feathers are clustered around Garuda. Failure to do any one of these things takes that Summoner from a superman hero to a waste of space. It is not particularly hard to orchestrate, but failure to do so is extremely punishing.
Also, if pet management isn't your thing, don't even consider SMN or SCH. You will always only find yourself mediocre at best =(.

So you`re saying DoTs can actualy be spread ( AoE ) if the mobs are stacked ?

Yes. The range on Bane is a bit small but as long as they are stacked or tightly clustered, the DOTs will spread to those mobs. For the Garuda fight, there's a window where she'll have them clustered on her and you can get your DOTs to transfer to all of them. You need to time it right and know when it's coming but it's highly possible.
Parsers providing theoretical DPS from DOTs can't really be trusted as a source of infomation because if the timing is off or if the damage is calculated differently than expected, it throws the numbers off. It's unfortunate because there isn't a sure fire way to calculate it correctly as DOT damage doesn't show up in the battle window, as far as I can tell.

Alright one last question i heard SMN cannot even come close to the AoE power of a BLM, Given we have the same LB if dots can be spread like that doesnt that make us , not on par but not that far behind them ? lol
Id love to see parses of how far ahead SMN are in single target and how far behind they are in AoE lol but everything is broken =_=

SMN does more AoE over time(10+ seconds), BLM does better burst AoE.
The AoE they are talking about is Bane, it basically spreads the DoT on the targetted enemy to surrounding enemies nearby- the range however is really short as stated. This is by no means a 'burst' AoE at all, it just spreads DoT's to all other nearby enemies.
Summoners are not an AoE or a Burst class hence they do not need those skills so if you are comparing AoE and Burst with a BLM who specialises in AoE and Burst Damage then the BLM will of course be far more superior in that area.
Summoners are a DoT based & pet management class, they deal with prolonged fights (Boss) and excel in prolonged and movement intensive fights.

i dont get how in 3 weeks nobody created a working parse yet (=_=) games need to start putting some ingame by default.
Would give me a way better idea as to how long does it take for a SMN to parse bigger then a BLM in a boss fight 2min ? 3 min ? will they parse less while clearing adds etc saying they parse bigger on bosses doesnt mean much as bosses arent 100% of the game. i guess the only way to know is to make one and i shall lol
thanks everyone
no one knows anything because squaresoft fails at making legitmate combat logs so making a proper program to parse is impossible.
