BLM in Demon Wall

I have only ever run AK as BLM and don't consider it a drawback, I've also done it several times with two BLM in the party. The more you do it and the better your gear gets, it becomes easier and easier. Better gear means your attack magic power will increase so each spell does more and your spell speed will increase making it easier to get casts off and even to get an extra cast in here and there. Your ability to anticipate will also improve. The demagogue set that drops in there for BLM is pretty decent if ugly gear and you'll soon pick up the tomes to start swapping out for darklight, I even picked up my AF2 hat just from doing AK runs.

I am a BRD, and BLM is actually my preferred DD partner for AK. As others have mentioned, as long as Requiem is up, it helps considerably for BLM dps. Obviously there is the consideration of the void poison, but another poster already covered the timing for that. If you have a good BRD with a good rotation, the dps loss from 20% damage reduction from BRD while the song is up can be mitigated by the increased dps of the BLM. Really a matter of preference - I have a BLM friend that prefers running with MNK instead of me, so I go sing songs for someone else lol.

This is the main problem I have with Keep. I do not play BLM, I play summoner, however I do know what you mean when you say it is hell for casters. Demon Wall is actually the only reason I haven't done Keep and still haven't finished it once and I have been 50 for a while now.

My first few tries weren't successful, we did fine on dodging until the bees and we didn't have enough burst to take them out quickly. After that, everytime I get into a Keep party people just leave at the start of it saying "Great a summoner, no burst" then leave. So I just have stopped bothering for a while.

How many fire1 can you cast before switching? I was able to cast 2-3 times before i move but sometimes i still get hit xD

I don't really know what some people find hard about it, as a SMN I never had problems (with some pts found with the DF even), and most of all nobody ever had problems with me being a SMN.

Let alone the fact that some of the best runs were with 2 SMNs... Some people are well over their heads with funny judgments.

As a monk/drg we are losing damage because we cant get to the side or behind the mob.

That fight gimps most classes except bard for dps.

You can dps fine on wall.

Tip for bees, after they spawn wait til you move middle and limit break.

Simple.

1.) Learn the pattern.
2.) Position yourself according to the pattern to get your spells off.
3.) Use instant casts when all else fails to fill during movement or swift cast.

Really, BLM probably has it easier then Monk or Dragoon not needing the back attack for the most damage and having an easier time. Doing it as a healer without instant cast I don't have that much trouble on casting, and the fight is MUCH more frantic as a healer. I usually can weave in heals just fine given I use the pattern to my advantage.

I tell you, the fastest I've seen Demon Wall go down was with 2 bards. By the time the 2 bees popped Demon Wall was dead lol. The party was like oh shit that was awesome lol.
