Vitality and Summoner?

Why is it I see Vit on a lot of end game summoner gear, what does it do for summoner? And is int the only stat that affects damage?

VIT affects HP. The reason why it's on SMN gear is because it also affects your pet's HP, and since you have a tank pet, that is potentially useful.

Also, both INT and Determination affect your raw (base) damage numbers. By extension, Accuracy, Crit rating and spell speed also affect your damage.

I am guessing the OP hasn't played a lot of MMOs. Vit gives you more HP, and HP is not just for tanks. The value should be obvious long before you reach 50.

If an enemy manages to hit you with a 2000 damage attack, which would you rather have, 1950 HP or 2100 HP? It may not be much, and you will never have Tank levels of HP, but it can make all the difference.
