I know of people who sell crafted things for what they think its worth instead of what the market does. Most of the time its substantially less

1 gil less is a realistic goal maybe 10-25 at max but when u sell the crap for nearly nothing ur just ruining the sales market completely I seen posts of people selling items for less then the NPC vender would buy it that's a Very obvious wow gamer...

I wish that was my issue lol.

Yep a lot of us Farmers are quiting because u farm for hours go to sell to crafters and WHAM all ur posts are selling for 1-10 gil ................enough of us Farmers quit collecting because of the lack of value to what we farm the Crafters will end up paying out the nose to the ones controlling the market when they decide to swap it to a reverse sales angle IE going from 1 to 100k

Game needs a more intuitive way to show ppl what the current market is going for. That little button is overlooked by a lot of people. Granted wouldn't SOLVE the issue but might help.

Ah, I hate this so much. There's horn-scale mail in the market for 19,000 and it's NQ. I mean, come on. ALSO, it's weaker than the Steel Scale Mail HQ I have equipped.

Ah, the joys of capitalism. Buy low then sell high; if they are undercutting by that much, then you could consider them a supplier, so buy in bulk and resell their wholesale product. I've managed to turn a profit in other games by flipping ridiculously low items, and I am assuming greed works the same in this game as well. It is, as you pointed out, a market.

I am guilty of undercutting and I'll tell you why. From the start of the game I have been farming and selling Highland Parsley on side to make extra gil. It's a very low level ingredient and the food it actually used for isn't all that great. It sells okay but not enough to warrant 300 per 1...that's insane. I've posted 99 stacks on the AH at 50 and it sat for a week a half, so I dropped the price. 25-40 sells great. I think that's a fair price. It takes me 8 minutes (Yes I've timed myself) to gather 99, 8 minutes of "work" I'm not going to charge an insane amount. Last week I left for vacation I came back the price of Highland Parsley jumped to 300 per, so someone didn't use the history because they would have seen it was not going for that high when I left. People are just being greedy. ...sorry I just don't see a COOK, paying 245 per, just to make dodo meals...which is not even the best option out there.
