So I've done some searching and Event ID 1000 is associated with a number of problems,which is unfortunate. I'm assuming you've tried a fresh install of the game? Also makes sure you have up to date drivers on everything possible. And as dumb as this may sound, re-seat your graphics card just for extra measure. I'm sorry I couldn't help you further, but if you could try these, how ever tedious, would go a way to ruling out certain problems.
