    Some questions

Ok.... I keep getting lost in LL, and I'm looking for info on where all the shops are. More specificaly where the armor/clothing shops are. Also where are all the market wards?
I just hit rank 10 marauder And looking to play conj and pug also. And could use a new look.

Also really loving the game, only died twice :3 new record for me ^^
Also any helpful Social LS's on Besaid? Just fair warning I got limited gameplay time till ps3 launch roughly 2 hrs or less.
Thanks in advance. Id explore more, just having such limiting gameplay stinks for that.

There really isn't much to buy from NPC's in FFXIV as far as gear and weapons go it is very heavily crafter dependant. You can however get R1 weapons for every class from all the various shops. Hawkers Alley in Lower Limsa has a fair few NPC stalls. As for the Market Wards they are entered in Upper Limsa where it says "Southern Islands". Though not sure if you will find anything there, not sure what it's like on Besaid but on Lindblum there is a distinct lack of lower level gear ever available.

The best place to go shopping is Ul'dah's Market Ward's so take the ferry from LL over to the otherside and you can run to Ul'dah in relative safety. Make sure you touch every crystal you pass to unlock them for anima teleports and don't forget the ones in the cities you visit.

If I was you I would stick to the R1 starting gear and level all my jobs up to R10, it doesn't take long as you probably know by levelling MRD. Once they are all 10 then start trying to buy R15-20 gear you level up so fast there is not much point in buying R10 gear. If you need gill then do as best you can to get to R13 to unlock R20 Leves at Camp Bloodshore. Once you start doing those the gill starts flying in and if you spend wisely you will never be short again.

Hope that helps a bit ^^

I would just keep the shards, you can use them yourself later.
You can get gear 1-20 from NPC, you will find the NPCs standing around in the marketwards.
(I am not talking about retainer) Go to armorer raw for example, you will see a NPC standing right in the middle/center, he will sell you armor. different NPC on different raws and some raws have no NPC.

You will see that you can find most of the gear and weapons cheaper sold by other people, NPC is usually expensive (unless for r1 arrows and some other simple items).
Also you really do not need to buy new armor for ranks 1-12 or so, it is waste of cash. Game is so easy that you can get to R20 in just 1 day if you know where to rank up.

Also, no matter what city you're in it's easy to identify where the market wards are located. Pull up the map and find the Atheryte(sp?) crystals (one per city). The market wards are always next, or very close, to them.

In LL you wont find the Market Wards much help but if you're looking for beginner gear you might be able to find it in the respective guilds of the class you wanna play, just pull up your map and look at the guilds in LL.

Kilta, you should have waited for PS3 release and played as SE intended. You'll probably just spoil the experience for yourself and end up hating FFXIV like everyone else.

omg I completely forgot, they added NPC's in the lower tailors wards didn't they and they sell R1-20 gear I believe. It isn't cheap though but they do sell it. I can't remember exactly how much but I think the sheepskin harness was 70k from the NPC but you can get it for 5-10k from a retainer if anyone has one for sale. If your going MRD you can't go wrong with the sheepskin harness and gear at those levels.
