what you need to do is pay attention and look at all of your abilities, use the ones that say "Additional Effect: Increased Enmity". Pull with a Shield Lob, don't be afraid to hit flash 3 or 4 times in a row and to throw another couple flashes in after dropping a few riot blades. you want to make sure you are flashing frequently in dungeons anyway because GLD gets a trait that gives their flash Blind.
as long as you pay close attention, you will get a good feel for where enmity is at and how, when, and where you will most benefit from your enmity abilities.
keep in mind that provoke is current top enmity + 1, so you want to use an attack that generates a lot of enmity after casting provoke
GLD is at 24 for me, but thats how i do things and it works out fine so far
So far I did all dungeons and guildleve on first try.
1. Introduction
It takes 10 seconds to say :
Hello! I'll pull and mark target with priorities.
2. The job
1- puller : I mark targets with 1 2 3, and try to avoid every patrols, use flash > overpower right after pull.
2- tank : switch between targets with special attention on main target. Keep an eye on enimity gauges. MRD/WAR also have overpower for large groups(>3), don't know if gld/pld can do similar thing.
3- leader : give hints about upcoming fights (ie read guildleve quest text and onscreen hints).
3. The gear
Keep your gear up to date.
Use food, have Hi potions ready to use.
4. I am human
If you have some questions ask them, if you made a mistake apologize.
Ok some advise.
1. Be aware of patrols. If needed, mark target 1, 2, 3 and so on or with X and such. It's nice with a mark if you need someone in group doing something special, like off tanking with a titan/yellow carb.
2. Pull with shield or tomahawk.
3. Flash the mob (if you're a war/mrd and you have no BLM or TAM in group, use overpower aswell).
4. Always face mobs AWAY from your group so they wont have to move from cones and other AoE.
5. Keep your eyes on the enmity meters.
6. Pick the right gear. Gear with MRD/WAR/GLA/PAL on, try and avoid lancer gear or DoW gear in general, except on rings and such as you level. The gear designed for the tank classes have much higher defense than the one also desiged for lancer.
Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day.
