Fates & Level Sync are broken.

<Spoiler alert>As if the game itself isn't a giant troll that at level 46 the main storyline jumps to 49. </Spoiler alert>

And so your only option is to grind, a painful and slow process that requires you to click Level Sync each and every time because your level doesn't match anymore. And if anyone with proper grinding sense knows that Dragonhead is the place to be till you catch up.

So here's what happened. I'm a level 48 dragoon and you have no choice but to stay within the range radius or else your EXP gets cut in half or worse, none. And sometimes Jump is so broke that you need to time it right or else you take the full damage is the animation isn't complete (Which is another problem). While doing the giant eye boss fate I stood there, literally for the whole fight dying, doing damage for the whole painful 5 minutes, and to get the last hit, I jumped, and if that didn't make timings worse he walked out of the range circle and died.

Reward? 0 EXP. Nothing! "Fate Complete" so basically dying for nothing? And in our party we had members who were below 45 and in town, getting the full 25k EXP, reward gold and pet minion.

I suggest a 1-2min timer to be synced with your last fate so if you die your efforts dont go to shit. Standing and dying for 5 mins just to get 0 exp for 1 second I landed out of range is complete bs. That and there should be an auto level sync when you walk into an instance.

you're in the wrong zone, lvl 48 is too high for dragonhead.

Just goto northern thanalan, there's loads of lvl48-49 fates and plenty of people running them.

Chibi is right, its a pain in the a.. to sync everytime you go to a fate, and we need a option to automatic sync or timer at least, cause the grinding its important on high lvls and it really bothers losing a fate for the sync control.

gets more aggro than he can survive, starts screaming 'heal me'!
nobody cares or does so he kites away from the enemy and eventually out of the fate area desyncing himself

i see this a lot, stop he-manning it and start playing smart

I don't feel this is a big issue. There are FATE battles designed for specific levels. You don't lose your contribution just because you lose sync from the fate. I have lost the sync multiple times mid fate, and I still get gold contribution...Solo mind you.

Do you make this a habit by not reading? Im not trying to tank it. The level sync is the issue.

True that's if youre still synced. Once you die or teleport back to town and get unsynced, you get silver despite doing alot of dmg.
