    Cure spam bug ??

So it´s happening a lot lately to me that when i use in rapid succesion Cure o Cure II on my target it Cures me instead of my target, i get wiped 4 times today beacause of this and its getting really annoying...

i stopped using the macro with <mo> to avoid things like this and now the skill is trolling me

has this happened to anyone else??

I've only seen that in association with Raise and its much-decried "guy is alive but not a valid healing target" waiting period. If you're not using macros, you should be stuck on whatever target you're healing for better or worse.

Are you sure all your abilities are back to the base spells and not macros? How are you selecting targets? If you somehow set yourself as the main target and select party members as sub targets, your aim will jump back to you after each spell cast. I don't suppose that you would do that, though.

Even if it is a bug with the game we can surely figure out a macro-based workaround!

I hate this. so much. SO. MUCH. Even if I feel I've waited long enough I still end up casting whatever Cure/Regen/Stoneskin on me instead. Rrarggh.

Im doing this on a controller and i always have my tank as target from the beggining to the end of the dungeon, but there are sometimes when it will just heal myself instead of the target even twice in a row and then it will cure my target, it has only happened to me on controller so far and i double checked that i was not using a macro just to be sure but it still happened :/ i´ll try to record it next time so i can watch it in detail

I also play on a controller and I always lock my target on the tank as well.
I noticed that when I am trying to cast stuff really fast, sometimes I press the arrow keys without holding down L2/R2 correctly, and instead of casting it, I am just changing the target to the boss or whatever we are attacking (even though i am still locked on the tank). When this happens, the heal/buff will always apply to myself instead of the tank (which is normal). I am not sure if this may apply to your situation, maybe it's just my fat fingers playing tricks!

I've noticed this has been happening to me whenever I panic and spam the button to try and get the heal off as soon as possible.

I'm using macros in this format:

    /ac "cure" <mo>
    /ac "cure" <t>
    /ac "cure" <me>

and I assume that what's happening is that the multiple button presses are trying to execute the first two commands while the GCD is active and then just defaulting to the last one when the GCD has finished.

I'm not actually certain though, I haven't done extensive tests or anything - just a possible cause to keep in mind. It would actually be quite nice to know if anyone knows of a way to use that kind of macro without this happening.
