Keyboard works but can't be selected as controller?

First of all, this game works wonderfully on my computer at home, so this is clearly some issue with my specific hardware in this scenario or something.

Here's the deal:

I installed FFXIV on my brother's PC, and it loads up great, patched great, but when I start the game, is asks me if I want to calibrate my controller. I click no, since I'm using a keyboard.

I then click settings on the main menu, and keyboard isn't even an option!

If I press start, it plays the opening cut scene, but I cannot exit it out of it with any keystroke.

Once the cutscene ends, it just repeats, so I can't ever get to the character selection screen!




EDIT: In the FFXIV.cfg I found the CutsceneMovieOpening line and changed it to 1, now it skips it and I can play, weird!
