Nah, if people leave because of this then obviously they're playing the wrong game. This game requires some patience in certain areas and seeing some of the most ADD-ridden people leaving would be a good thing for the community.
The restriction is only acceptable if it's set to the minimum level at which the fight is slightly possible. If people are forced to obtain better gear than is truly necessary just to participate, there WILL be a lot of pushback from the community.
