PS3 Headsets

I was wondering if ps3 headsets work in this game or do you have to have a voice client on pc to communicate? I have looked all over the place and have not been able to find any info on this.

What headset is it, if it can be plugged into your PC there is no reason for it not to work.

Neither the PC or PS3 version comes with built in microphone support. You would need to use a external setup like Skype sadly.

As said above - there is no voice chat support in any version of the game.

Considering how awkward chatting is on the PS3 - even with a keypad - it's quite surprising that voice chat isn't included.

I'm not really a social player, but it'd be beneficial in raids and stuff.

Erm - just use the keyboard as on PC? Yoshi said that there is no official voice support in the game as it would create a presure on players who prefer not to use the chat as well as pontial harrasment issues for some (females, people speaking non-native languages etc). If you want to do a pro / hardcore you'd most likely have TS3 / mumble / skype anyway in place already or the FC will set ut the servers for it.

On the subject, could anyone recommend a good wireless headset, with a range of about 15 feet, for use with PC for someone playing from the sofa on the PS3?

Any decent BlueTooth headset will do just fine unless you have really heavy interferences from WiFi and other wireless devices on the same band.

Just on the topic of using a keyboard for chat on the PS3:

Is it possible to use mouse, keyboard, and gamepad at the same time on PS3? E.g. keyboard for chat, pad for general gameplay, and mouse for manipulating the UI? I'm guessing this is how pad users on the PC operate. The biggest issue with the PS3 (IMHO) is selecting the chat box in the first place.
