I have to say that I am finding this quest to be incredibly difficult. Despite my best effort I have flunked it more than 15 times without even getting close to winning. I wondered if anyone else had any thoughts about it.

EDIT: Yeah. It helps if your grimoire is not at 0%. It is an easy fight! good lord.

Well, are you geared up enough for that? Every little bit helps.

But aside from that, tell us what you've been doing, so we can better assist you. I didn't have a hard time with that one, I don't mind helping you out.

It took me a few tries too, but I ended up winning by focusing on the tonberry adds (especially the casters) and healing the npc as much as possible.

I think there were 2-3 sets of adds that come.. once they are dead it'll be you, the main tonberry and the npc

I did on first try too. Remember your are a healer so in the last part your priority is keep the npc alive. Use Eos because she heals better and you should be fine. I had more trouble in the last mission for SMN then SCH o.O

I also completed it my first try. I had a scary moment or two because I underestimated the damage of the mobs within.. but once I knew what was going on, it was easy enough. Just train the Tonberry's early on, do not attempt to face them head to head in combat. Ruin II can be cast while moving, and their HP is intentionally set pretty low.. So running and gunning, so to speak, is the best strategy against them. The boss itself shouldn't cause you ANY issues at all as your little Lala buddy should have all the hate, at least until Everybody's Grudge.. This is when you need to spam heal yourself. (You may also try outrunning part of the attack and then heal)
