Avatars over equipements

Hey, don't you think they should add avatar slots ?
Let me explain... the problem with this game is that at level 50, everyone almost wears the same clothes... artefacts and relics :/
I don't really like all of them, and i feel like if i want to be super strong of the death, i must wear what they want me to wear...
I think they should add avatar slots next to the equipements slots, so that you can equip any of the gear you like as cloth without stats, over the equipement.
You follow me ? So for exemple, i'll be able to play with relics while wearing swimsuits, that would be the thing...

I wouldn't want to see tanks in a swim suit, it sort of hurts the immersion more then having a tank in cloth gear would.

:/ I am all for gear overlays, so long as they don't become silly JRPG-Cashup overlays. (See Flyff for example.)

You may like the immersion, but other half of the players prefer to play their way freely, i don't care if i wear an armor of swimsuit as long as i like my character my way.

It seems like there will be, and i seem to remember them talking about it, but as the person above said, no clue when it's coming out. It makes sense, as i've seen gear in lower level dungeons that seems like it would be better for vanity items than for gear. It would also be a reason to run them at cap, if you wanted that look.

My personal favourite "cosmetic" system is Rift, second to that would be LotRO. GW2 is just a hacked on WoW version and WoW doesn't give the paper doll freedom that I want.

Now, do I think that fits with FFIVARR? Not really, but at the same time I want diversity. I shouldn't be in an 8-man with 2 identically clad tanks, 4 identically garbed DPS and 2 mirrored healers.
I really liked the way some of the earlier armor looked on my lancer. Heavier breastplate, loose hanging "skirt", then heavy looking leggings, etc. Great look. Now... Meh, heavy scale, same as everyone else. Looking ahead at the end-game armors... same thing. Fields of same-ness.

Lol how is that childish ?
In FFXIII-2 i could wear swimsuit for Serah while fighting Gilgamesh, is that a problem ?
In almost all Tales of i can wear swimsuit and other weird costumes while playing, is it forbidden ?
FFXIV gives a lot of freedom with gears while you can choose and paint them, but once you're 50 you don't have that much choice, it's stupid, it breaks all the fun you had.
I don't want to play RP and wear armors to be badass, i just want to wear what i like.
I love some gears like the mage gear from Brayflox, but now i can't wear it anymore since it's 32 and breaks all my stats, what a waste !

Seems like they should do this, otherwise what's the point of adding swimsuits etc. if you can't wear any of it unless you're literally just standing there not doing ANYTHING? Even crafting and gathering is determined by the stats of your gear.
