    I got this several times too, & it's really annoying... At 1st I also thought it delayed, but then every time I cast it, I make sure to wait an entire spare second after the animation ends, but then when casting raise/res, the cast bar still shows up :\, & swiftcast gets on cooldown. No interuption cause I always make sure to get into a safe spot & no running. Really have no idea what happened...

    I Swiftcast Raise frequently, and I don't think I've ever seen a cast bar at all. The only time I ever had a swiftcast skill 'interrupted' was when another WHM Swiftcast Raised someone about a quarter second before I did. My animation started, but the Raise didn't go through because someone else had already used Raise on the dead guy. Even with this interrupted cast, though, I was still able to insta-cast Medica II immediately afterwards (the Swiftcast didn't get used up by the failed Raise), so I'm not really sure what's going on with your scenario.

    i dunno either. but i have used swiftcast then have had a spell interrupted. and the stack of swiftcast was indeed consumed for that spell. have had this happen to me several times.

    i think something is wrong with the game or UI. i have had even more numerous occasions where my spells were interrupted for ZERO reason. just be standing there with the target tank in front of me. tank not moving out of LoS. i am not getting hit. i don't move my character. just sometimes spells stop casting for no apparent reason.

    i think the game is just broken.

    yeah. there is certainly something wrong here. cause lol i just got Regen. and sometimes when i try to use it on someone it says it has no effect. it has even said this TWICE in a row. wasting MP like crazy too. ><

    Swiftcasting "Raise" is instantaneous - you can do it while moving, and because Raise is the battle-rez, there are no additional conditions that have to be met. My question is, are the people attempting to cast the Conjurer Resurrection spell attempting to do so in combat. It's looking like only CNJs are having problems with Swiftcast.

    honestly i think this is much more in-depth problem. which i really hope not. i hope it is just cause of the lacking CPU and/or GPU processing power in the PS3. as far as modern gaming goes the PS3 is kind of lacking. then you put a huge MMO on it. DCUO doesn't play at well either.

    it any case there are clear signs that something is wrong. though i do not think it is the skills they themselves.

    as far as the swiftcast thing goes. there seems to be either one of or multiple things going of three. either poor communication with client>server and/or server>client. causing a mismatch in visual information and such. or the actual user interface has issues causing bad reports. or simply hardware of peoples PC's and the PS3 is lacking.

    chances are i may have just used the swiftcast on something else and did not notice after failing to be able to use it the first time cause of the report delay.




    but still. i can attest with 100% certinty that there is something wrong somewhere. again may just be lacking hardware.


    i can stand there with Regen on me. and every once in a while the counter skips an entire second.

    sometimes when using Regen on other people it simply has no effect. usually occurs when the counter is down near 3 seconds remaining. this is not intended. it does not always happen even with the counter as low as 3 seconds.

    I don't have swiftcast, but I understand the delay issue. If I cast Ice and then switch between umbral ice to astral fire too quickly, the game won't recognize that I even had umbral ice to begin with. I'd imagine it is the same for swiftcast.

    This is just server lag.

    Give it 1 second before casting your spell after swiftcast, wait until you see that "+Swiftcast" image coming up your char, and it will work

    that there be the problem. it IS there. the + swiftcast and the buff icon. it is not just server lag. and IF it is server lag then our clients are not compensating for it. allowing stuff to show visually before the server ever acknowledges it. thus when quickly executing the next skill something other then expected happens.



    there is an issue somewhere. i don't know if it is network, game code based, user interface based or simply a hardware issue. but there IS an issue.
