People are getting impatient. They are waiting for a big update containing the PvE dungeons, End Game Content, the new battle system, the mysterious "job" and "materia" system, more means of travel (Chocobo's and airships mainly), access to Ishgard and other towns, etc, etc. It's simply too much to be implemented in few months, let alone 1 single patch.

SE has mentioned it several times now. A big overhaul of a battle system or the implementation of PvE dungeons take a lot of time. With the patches 1.16, 1.16a, 1.17 and 1.17a, it would seem like we are only getting small fixes. However, in the meantime another section of the development team is working on a major change in the foundation of the game. These small fixes are only preparing the foundation for the massive changes. We may not hear much about these changes, but that doesn't mean they are not working on it as we speak.

Don't forget, SE wants to restore it's name after the dissapointing FFXIV release. There will be another E3 in June, so i'm guessing we will see the major changes around that time. That way they can show the public what FFXIV has in store for them.

Unfortunately, this will not satisfy a lot of people who are getting impatient and want to stuff like the new battle system, job system, materia system, new means of travel, PvE dungeons and end game content NOW.

But, to be honest, i don't really care what they think... I'm more curious to what SE has in store for us with these major changes.

-- On a side note... I would like to see another vid with a sneak preview about what's going on at the development department. Just like they did with the new character creator during the beta phase. (^_^ ) The "mission impossible". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Rp1Wryh93s
