I'm so glad I got Ifrit's Blade on my first try. The other pally had it too so there wasn't any competition at all.

Even if you interupt perfectly, one eruption around 66% will go through, because at the beginning of the fight, the only spell ifrit casts is Eruption, so he eventually fully resists it. Once he starts casting plumes, you should be able to interrupt every eruption. If you can't get every one, then either one of your dps is using a stun (mnks and drgs have one they can use in rotation that is a dps increase), or you are just lagging/bad, because as of yet, you can't miss stuns.
You're bad, where EVERYTHING it's server based and all you need to do is pressing one button while watching a castbar => no, just no.Even if you interupt perfectly, one eruption around 66% will go through, because at the beginning of the fight, the only spell ifrit casts is Eruption, so he eventually fully resists it. As i said, happens every now and again that i stun midcast, the eruption still explodes and he gets stunned. And i'm not the only one noticing it.

Uhh, you call me bad, then complain when you can't interupt? I've dune ifrit 40+times, been a stun bot for quite a few of those runs. If I missed an interupt it was because I wasn't paying attention for a sec, not because of some lag. You have to interupt early, you can't notice it last second and pray to the stun gods you got it off in time. In short, learn to play. You're bad, where EVERYTHING it's server based and all you need to do is pressing one button while watching a castbar => no, just no.

This is kill speed dependent. Most runs when I'm contributing to damage by comboing I'm able to stun 100% of the eruptions (dependent on how awake / derpy I am) and last night I hit three in a row with zero eruptions getting through. On some of the slower runs, before Ifrit goes into plume phase, there's an eruption that gets resisted even with perfect timing.Even if you interupt perfectly, one eruption around 66% will go through, because at the beginning of the fight, the only spell ifrit casts is Eruption, so he eventually fully resists it. I didn't call you bad, you misreaded it. it was more like "calling someone bad when everything is served base..."blablabla, no offense to you. Chill. And i can swear to you, like 90% of my sodding interrupts works, that last bit it's what's fucking me over tough, be it server delay and why not i might even notice it later, i'm not a stunbot i'm a human being lol.Uhh, you call me bad, then complain when you can't interupt? I mean even my teammates sees them going off :\
Try stunning him as a WAR based in Europe >.> At least you have a role. 2 PLDs work. 1 PLD 1 WAR work but 2 WARs and everyone leaves.
Rather be on stun duty than getting left out.
Although I did enjoy getting to tank him with no "Better get the PLD to tank" =D

Yeah, honestly I think the problem is that PLD gets a zero cooldown stun.
The fight seems ripe for an interrupt rotation, i.e. WAR stuns first, DRG stuns second, MNK stuns third, etc. But PLD just blows that necessity out of the water with their global cooldown stun.
I feel your pain, it's really crappy to be on pure interrupt duty. Also if he's resisting on the 3rd stun it might be that your party members are using a skill that stuns them, as that will put it on DR more quickly.
IMO SE should fix this by fundamentally altering some skills.
Brutal Swing should have 20 sec CD baseline, and 3 second Stun baseline. Enhanced Brutal Swing should increase the duration to 4 seconds, and it should be cross-classable.
Shield Bash should be changed to a reactive skill (like Haymaker) that is available after you block and does say 140 potentcy attack with a high amount of threat for 40 TP.
What this would do:
It would make WAR more able to be on solo stun duty by reducing the CD, making it less likely to see it as "need at least 1 PAL for any fight with interrupts".
It would give DRG a niche by having 2 stuns off of the GCD in order to be on 100% solo stun duty, which should make slotting them in a raid a little more justifiable.
It would take pressure off of PLD to play a boring "stun duty" role with a stun that is on the GCD.
It would give PLD a much more active rotation and slightly more damage output.
the thing is, the entire fight it's entirely doable without a paladin on constant stun duty. You can just interrupt the eruption after the nail for comodity. Wtf am i saying, we shouldn't have a fight based on stunning something at ALL. But whatever, i'd say that pld should get their stupid gdc stun from their toolset.
Just be thankful your stun doesn't have a 1.5s animation time. Our stun's main advantage of being off the GCD is worthless because you're still locked from using it until the current attack's animation ends.
