    The tank we want

Post the tank you want the most and why when you play as healer
(blue or red thing for the moment)
    just personal choices.

Mine as a sch is War, with all the buffs up i see Physick feel no shame againts a cure II, and when he has only his hp buff all i need to do 1 lustrate which has no cast no cd(that 1 sec seems like 0) and well managed, you always will have stacks up and ready for recharge.

To be honest I don't really notice any difference. Well, almost none. WARs always break CCed mobs. It's not too much of an issue with 2-3 pulls, but when they pull 4 or 5 then go out of their way to hit obviously slept targets I want to smack them upside the head.

I also prefer Warriors. Only for the fact that all Warriors I've played with seem to be able to hold threat much easier than Paladins. Plus with their huge amount of HP, it makes my Stoneskin more effective.

I've healed both as a white mage, and aggro issues aside, I've found I have to pump more mana into a Warrior then a Paladin of equal skill and gear. However I am also very biased toward healing the Paladin because I run dungeons with my FC/Linkshell mates, and the person who plays the Paladin, I've known for about 8 years. However in solo que dungeons I have noticed that Paladins tend not to use all of their abilities to hold aggro, and Warriors are usually superior in this case.

    It's not that I forget, it's just that I don't care.

PuG PLDs tend to be awful players. Maybe I just have bad luck, but I cringe every time I get one when playing BRD. I'm 21 on GLD, and I think I've lost 1 mob for a total of about 3 seconds in all the instances I've tanked combined, but most people in DF just seem 100% incapable of playing their class.

I remember the first time I ever used duty finder for the Ifrit Trial. I got a Gladiator who could not keep aggro off of me for than 5 seconds, and I wasn't even over healing or anything. Then again for my first Duty finder for Cutter's Cry I got a paladin. He didn't have threat for a single pull during the entire run. And even during the spider boss, we kept wiping as soon as minions spawned because they scattered everywhere. The only way we could do it was for all 3 of them to never stop attacked the boss, and I literally ran around the outside ring for 2 minutes with a trail of monsters behind me.

My ideal tank... anyone who runs TOWARDS ME when I cast protect or stoneskin, not away. Seriously, it's not gonna hurt, encasing your body in stone. You'll thank me for it later!!!

I am with her. Even at lvl 46, I find people just start running once everyone is out of cutscene opening the instance. I don't understand this. Maybe I should just cast protect once every 30 minutes, if you don't get it its your dumb for taking off before buffs. We cant buff before everyone is out of cutscene because people in it won't get it.

Probably a bit biased because I have a good Paladin in my FC but I prefer them as a Scholar. The Warriors that I've healed require much more MP to maintain, with their health drops being so spiky requiring me to use Lustrate much more often. With a Paladin that is good at managing threat I have to use Lustrate maybe once out of the three Aetherflow charges, allowing use of Sacred Soil or boosting my MP some.

Its hard for me to say. I would have to go with Paladin as I find myself able to do other things such as cc and dot without worrying about spike damage. This is assuming they can hold aggro. I will say that I have not seen Warriors with that many aggro issues. So pros and cons to both in my opinion.
