Alchemist, help please! stuck at 33

Hi guys, I was wondering if I missed something or how the hell do I get to 50 asap?

Anyway, I've completed all leves, crafted lots of stuff and even made many dyes.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I've been looking everywhere on google on how to level that class but sadly everything is either outdated or just nothing useful at all.

Could someone please help me to at least post a simple way to get out of 33 to say at least 40? I spent 220k gil and I'm almost out of gil now. Is there something wrong that I'm doing? Should I ever use "quick" feature? or just ignore it and try to hand level it for HQ items? The only decent way I found so far is Leves, however my allowance has ran out now.

I'm trying to get the book to start the relic quest. I don't have many alchemist on my servers and so far only 3 at 50 and they ask for insane prices so I thought to focus level it to 50 but It is very slow.

Any advice please? feel free to give me links/useful sites. I would appreciate it.

and ALWAYS try and use HQ items when turn in a leve

to do it easy, if you have allowance, for quarrymill level, the one that ask you for hi-potion x5... give to the npc only HQ item that will give you 100k exp per level...

Hmmm where about in Quarrymill? because I am in quarrymill and there are no leves for alchemist here.

The only leves I use are the ones in the city (Ul'dah). Not random at all, it just depends on the level thats all.

3 allowance every 11 hours sux I believe this is the only way to level alchemist, mats are overpriced as hell and if you ever try to make a HQ item then its more like 1/100 chance, of course unless you find HQ mats which is at moment next to impossible.

Seriously 3 days and still got to 34 using leves? either buff leves or nerf it and allow us to use normal crafting more effectively, I'm sick and tired of this already... you get stuck a lot is not even funny and I want to start my relic quest. Why the hell other classes get it so easy and my class gets to eat dirt and level a class to 50 (not even happening) to be able to start that quest. I don't enjoy leveling a profession and for me this is a huge pain and rather suffering every second of it.

To have lots of HQ mats you need to level gathering profession. To HQ a lot you need to get skills from other professions.

I don't have a problem with that at all, however aren't there lots of people (as I've seen when I went for some gathering)? sadly most of the materials are not listed on the market. Also HQ mats hardly excist, why ?

Probably because you have a maximum base chance of 15% to gather them if you don't proc your ability to increase HQ success or gather from a node that has a bonus to HQ item gathering rate.

Having gathering classes will greatly help leveling crafters when you don't have leves available. Unfortunately for alchemy they make use of both quite a few mining and botany items.

To maximize your XP gains, you're going to want to manually craft each item and pump out as much quality as possible. You can get up to 300% extra xp by increasing the quality of an item.

Just looking at the recipes available from 33-40, Lanolin requres the least amount of ingredients, but it requires you to farm Karakul skins from the Karakul in Coerthas. If you can find them cheap on the AH that's a bonus. Otherwise, depending on the market on your server, you may be able to pick up some of those gathered items rather cheaply, if they happen to be in high supply, for the various potions in that same level range

Thank you so much! You are great help, to be honest.... gather is not an option for me right now as my time is limited in playing the game and I'd like to get the item for the relic quest asap. I found Karakul cost about 130-400gil each which isn't bad and lots of them getting listed (managed to get 99 of them).

As for crafting... for quick feature it gives me about 1k exp per craft. However when I do it manually I gain about 3k-6k exp depending on the HQ luck.

I was talking to people in my FC and they had ago on me for leveling fast and taking things really quick. I ended up not saying a word after because no point arguing that at high levels its harder. They keep telling me its not (they are low levels) ah well what ever. Let them finding that out themselves.
