Usually I just mark the first target, and then I will mark the next target once the first target is below 15% HP. Marking multiple targets is a rare instance, but some cases needed for Sleep CC or something of that sort.

i like Marking Targets but a lot of player dont wait and are impatient , is what i expect from random party ,
They can deal with it then =P
If someone is being a LEEEEROY in my party (intentionally) while I'm trying to mark mobs, screw it they can die. I mark mobs to make sure people are hitting what I'm focused on. To the OP, you can easily mark mobs on the controller by selecting one and hitting the □ button, then selecting mark from the submenu that comes up![]()
I always mark targets. But if theres only 2 i just mark one cuz i get lazy.
I also mark some monsters as priority since they have AOE ,do more damage than the others, etc. killing annoying monsters comes first xD
Marking your first target seems to work out best. The tank in my FC I regularly run with will mark 2 targets if there's 3 or more mobs in a pull.
In my experience in DF groups, if you don't mark something some people are apt to just attack whatever they feel like, rather than waiting for the tank to do damage to a mob and seeing which of the pack have HP missing. Melee are really bad about this.
Agreed....TOTALLY agreed Orophin!Marking your first target seems to work out best. The tank in my FC I regularly run with will mark 2 targets if there's 3 or more mobs in a pull.

brings up another question: has anyone made a sleek one button target macro yet? One that designates 3 or 4 enemies with flags?
Don't think that's possible. Not with targeting..the targeting system is so clunky
That's pretty much how I work it.Marking your first target seems to work out best. The tank in my FC I regularly run with will mark 2 targets if there's 3 or more mobs in a pull.

N - 1 = number of targets marked where N is the number of mobs in the pull. Gets trickier later on when pulls sometimes add a mob (Ampador Keep, etc).
I don't see the necessity. The DD literally have one job when it comes to trash mob killing: Attack whatever I'm attacking. That's it. Unless we're in copperbell mines I shouldn't have to hold their hands through that. If they don't like it then they can leave and sit in DF queue for another hour while we get a replacement DD is 10 seconds. I know I sound like a dick here, and marking things doesn't take a ton of effort, but when I'm playing on controller I don't feel like marking crap in some easy dungeon like Wanderer's Palace because some derpy max level DD can't do his only job without having his hand held.
I have no problem running things with new people, watching cutscenes, explaining boss mechanics, etc. But when some level 50 damage dealer goes "durr hurr tell me what trash mobs i shud attak lol" it really gets my blood boiling. Just a pet peeve of mine. >_>
