    Lack of Materia slots

    The Allagan gear so far seems to follow the trend of Darklight gear of no materia. Considering that cross gear repairing is unavaliable and crafted gear facing stiff competition from Darklight and gradual obsolescence, apart from Relic Weapons what is keeping DoH (bar cullinary) relevant to DoW? So far crafting seems to exist for crafting. I made a lot of gil but most of it seems to be from other DoH/DoL people rather than DoW.

    I agree, this is very disappointing, I was expecting materias to be part of the end game gearing and personalization to reach some caps like spell speed or determination for me, yet it's just not even available on the top tier gear. Same for dyes by the way, what a shame, both had a lot of potential.

    Well there are certain crafts that will benefit more then others for instance gsm will do well as the rose gold accessories are really good especially for tank as the ability to tact on str and crit rate with materia would make this highly profitable (except for the fact that peacock ore to make a whole set is around 8100 tombs worth). But I think the fact has been proven that materia unchecked is potentially to powerful so having the first 90 set being non meld able makes sense so you can develop the base line and potential damage that other stats outside those listed could do and then configure stat caps around that. I think I will be still making my heavy darksteel set all the same though because I have come to far to stop now but its going to be a one and done thing so going to have to get all hq mats before I attempt to not risk needing to double purchase the 9 cokes per piece.
