Account Banned

So after logging out last night my account was logged back into by a 3rd party. After changing my P-word and adding a security token and lastly filing a support request I am waiting on them to get back to me. any suggestions on how to get my account back any faster?

Was your account banned or locked due to suspicious activity? I've had mine locked a couple times after entering the wrong password but after changing my password my account was instantly unlocked.

It says its suspended, I will try to change my password, adding the token should have helped.

Now I know where all these spammers are coming from -_-. JEeze people. quit falling for the easiest password traps

Congrats, you went to a site you shouldnt have and probably got a keylogger installed. And now a spammer has occupied ur account.

no, most likely a brute force, although I am an idiot on security(use same/similar log in Ids) swept my system and added a security token, I didn't say its not my fault I just want my account back.

Uhm I would be scanning your computer with a virus scanner, then once you are sure its clear changing all the passwords that are "similar" to the FFXIV one.
And if something dodgy does show up on the scan and you use internet banking or paypal etc...
I would be contacting them first.. then worrying about your FFXIV account.

I've done that, its more about my account being gutted now, no CE status no status at all. Received the email late and will have to sit trough another round of "Is it really you" with customer support...

Mine was suspended. Literally I had access to it, I got error code 3102, I put in a ticket about 3102 and then it was suspended almost instantly. I haven't gotten an email why, I haven't gotten an email about my ticket. I know I was not logged in by a 3rd party either.

It took over 24 hours to get the e-mail notification on my banning, check your mog station and see if there's a "hit my head on the kb to name" toon on your list. would be the best thing i can sugest

I only have this character on my account, plus another character on a Japanese server with the same name. So no bad names. No new characters that look like they have been created by gold spamers. The only that changed was I added my name to the 3102 error thread since I was stuck.

Probably could have been one of many causes, clicking link in email, same password in less secure site, keylogger, etc. Seems to hitting a lot of people though from comments on forums and such.

That said, i used to feel worse for these people, now, not so much. Getting tired of having to blacklist three or more people on entering a new city every time. My blacklist is already 50/200, and if it keeps up like this, it will be full in no time.

Get a token (app or physical), use it, get a scanner to keep free of keyloggers, and never enter your account info anywhere other than from the launcher (and clicking the account button on the launcher). If an email tells you your account needs whatever, check it by not clicking any links in it, use the link on the launcher only.
