Other people can't repair my gear, is that being added in tomorrow's maintenance as well? If not, it fixes nothing until 2.1 ._.
edit: You didn't translate it all! It ALSO SAYS REDUCTION OF REPAIR COSTS!
YES!!!!!!!

You're correct, I forgot to add that detail since I was kinda excited, thanks!Looks like they are also cutting the cost of high end gear repairs in general. I might be reading it wrong due the fact that my japanese is weak as fuck. Also reads like they are adding a Gear level barrier to certain dungeons. Again, weak japanese.
Personal Note: I think the repairs costs were due to making repairs a calculation based on item level. The sudden jumps at Darklight and AF2 levels would account for why those repairs costs are so much higher.
@Synra: Don't shoot the messenger, you have all of until patch 2.1 to complain about that change if you don't like it, anyway.
@Shiyo: I know, I know.

I don't see the Item requirement thing working out well. Hopefully that doesn't really go through.
Listen me well guys.
I have 3 jobs i play, that mean i need 6 craft JOB up to lvl 50 to repair their stuff...
Good for the dark matter, but seriously, i will not up 6 jobs to 50 to repair my stuff.
Let us create money (sell thing, is not create money).
Why some monster don't loot anything ? Like Dulahan lvl 47 - 48 ?
Why did i must farm with no stuff for win some money ? Work like intented ? Did we all must be nude for farm ?
Seriously...
Depends on how strict it is, because it really does suck ending up in a dungeon with people who are clearly undergeared. Skill can only get you so far before poorly maintained gear starts to have an impact. As long as the restrictions are reasonable I'm all for it.
Eh... As long as the restrictions are something akin to how the Binding Coils are at the moment (the content that actually requires stuff higher than the item level we CAN acquire at the moment, but still vaguely-but-not-really doable) i'd be okay with it.
Actually no I'm not okay with it at all but still
Hopefully the average item level won't be too ridiculous. I imagine that they're using an average so that certain situations like the one you mentioned will be acceptable.Umm, that is NOT good! Two reasons:
1. Some items don't upgrade as often as others. Jewelry and belts especially. I ended up wearing a pair of level 9 rings up until 35+, because they are so uncommon.
2. A higher level often does not equal better. I am currently wearing a great level 32 (green) chest piece. I have seen level 40 (grey) chests offered to me as quest rewards, but they aren't really better than the one I am wearing.
If they require a high average item level to enter the higher level dungeons, they are only going to force players to buy and equip items they shouldn't need.
Having said that... we won't know until it actually happens, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for now.
Edit:
It can also be argued that they're adding in the party board to help alleviate any issues. Here's to hoping the DF doesn't become a high-level, good-equipment thing only, though. The solo players who don't have good equipment yet shouldn't be punished for their playstyle. :/

You can already skip the role requirements in the Duty Finder when forming your own party, so I see no reason that it wouldn't also ignore item level requirements.
just a guess, but odds are this will only apply to the hardmode fights and maybe a couple other level 50 dungeons. There is way to many people running these wearing just total garbage gear and adding this will get them to maybe look in to upgrading to what they should already be wearing.Umm, that is NOT good! This is like the people I've met on DF that raged when I was in full DRg and SMN af for Amdapor yet we still won with me and alive and dishing dmg. Hell all the endgame dungeons can be done in af. Hell only thing this is making me think is I need to hurry up and kill Hydra and the 3 Primal hard fights fast before i get restricted cause I'm not fully decked out in what Yoshi wants.
