Screw crafting and gathering! I, the great warrior of Eorzea refused to do anything but fighting. I'm a warrior of light!!

I just imagined gil raining down in a beam of light, haha.

Could he provide some actual numbers and proof of where all his money came from and what was cost in repair and additional fees. So far he's just blowing smoke out his butt with a number to try and prove a silly point.

Gathering does provide more money than the costs of repairs when vendor trashing, but it's not a very fast profit.

I think after about an hour of fishing in Coerthas, I made around 4k gil after repairs? It's hard to remember at this point, as I haven't been fishing as much in the past few days. Need to actually level some of my other classes.

Not to mention the economy will die if everyone is self-sufficient by leveling all crafts themselves. Money will no longer exchange hands and the AH will be useless.

This is true. The DoW/DoM classes should be somewhat reliant on the gathering/crafting classes for gear, and the gathering/crafting classes should be somewhat reliant on the DoW/DoM classes for mats.

I actually don't believe this is the case at the moment.

The lack of player repairs heightens this issue.
