The point the gill cryiers are on about is very real.
It';s not about individual choices, lazines etc its about a simple fact.
Gil leaving is greater then gil entering which is different than gil gathered by a crafter on the market.
If gil is not entering the game you can have all the pretty things you want as a crafter but with no consumer.
Mind you crafters can generate gil via levemets but it's gonna be a world of crafters and boom boom guys...we need them and to call them lazy is not good.
Without these so called "lazy" people we have nothing to sell nor a game to play. It takes all types.
If this game was meant to be a 100% cooperative then they should have advertised it as such we would have a utopia which would fail in this market.
And once again, someone confuses macroeconomics with microeconomics.
The issue isn't that one can't make gil once they hit 50. The issue is that the number of gil fountains is being outweighed by the number of gil sinks. This creates a deflationary effect which, at the moment, is not being felt as bad because of people going through the main story which gives a gil bomb that doesn't happen again.
Really, understand the argument before you go around refuting it.There is no proof of this.
The fact is there are thousands of people doing fates and leves which generate gil into the economy. This is happening every minute of every day.
The small percentage of people who have a high repair cost have blinders on and think they should be able to do fates and leves to cover their repair costs (or worse, have dungeon runs give them gil for doing them). They don't realize that its the economy as a WHOLE which determines how much gil is being created. The gil sink from their repairs is actually very small compared to the gil created by those thousands doing fates/leves all day long.
The problem is that the small percentage of people who have high repair costs are growing each day. After a certain stage the thousands of people who are running fates and leves are also going to be part of the thousands of people with sky high repair costs. There is no proof of this.

Doesn't help that by then the huge influx of Gil from quests will be long gone.
You're correct, this COULD happen. But it is not happening now and it is just speculation that all players will end up grinding endgame and there will be no new players left. It could take months/years for this to happen. SE will slowly adjust. There just isn't any evidence to support that gil sink > gil creation from total players in the economy. The problem is that the small percentage of people who have high repair costs are growing each day. When the majority on the forum say it is a problems. You know problems is at hand. You dont need a monthly graph to heard or read complains. Things are going badly fix it now, or get shut down. should be. Yes, some of you are good at merching, but most dont care about the merchant life and want to play for the fighting and loots.

Unless you run naken...every hit you did or take, there goes ur gear's condition. Is this end game you have in mind? naken players farming fate and levi? There is no proof of this.

I have never, ever, EVER, seen a community unanimously agree that an auction house only pulls money out of the economy.
If you aren't willing to do anything other than walk around and grind dungeons like a zombie, you really aren't playing the game right.
Sorry. It's true.

ah, I thought I was missing something. My mistake, send me the "How to Correctly Play FFXIV" guide that Square Enix wrote because I can't seem to find it.
