Having major issues pugging AV, namely the last boss. I've run it 4 times and failed each time on her. The main issue is the groups I run with consistently let 2-3 fruits spawn into morbols, is this normal? I've tried tanking, not tanking, only tanking 1-2, but nothing seems to work. After the first run I've been painstakingly explaining the mechanics of the boss to each group and still failing. Is there a surefire way to reduce the number of spawned fruits or do I have to get lucky with group comp to actually kill this boss. Any insight or tricks would be helpful.

I would also like to know of any tips to beat Miser Mistress because as a Summoner I don't feel like I do enough damage.

i pretty much leveled from 49-50 there, and from my experience: (as a healer anyway)

-Look at the number by your name on the side bar. If its 3 or higher, eat a fruit.
-If there's adds roaming about, don't eat a fruit. Kill the monsters then enjoy your snack.
-If you have a caster DPS, save your LB for the adds when he gets sub 25%
-The healer needs to help kill the adds. Its not that hard to hit ruin II or stone II.
-Make sure the boss is -never facing the healer or dps- Badbreath can ruin a run.

For a clean attempt, when Miser does "Sow" she spawns the seedlings. They all need to die before they germinate into lil Morbols. So lots of AoE needs to be done when they spawn. As far as the fruit, try to eat the fruit when you have at most 3 stacks of the barbs. I tanked it and survived with 4, but that's because I wasn't paying attention and immediately removed it.

That's pretty much it. Also avoid Bad Breath and any other red circle ability she has. My first time in there took us two tries, but the whm had done it already so be was coaching us on what to do. We one shooter everything except Miser. That was a 2 shot.

Holy almost kills them all, so they definitely don't have a lot of health. If everyone uses their AoEs, they'd probably be dropped without much issue.

As a Black Mage throwing out a couple Fire 2 spells usually kills them all

It's definitely a good time for White Mages to hit Cleric Stance and drop a Holy. The damage dealers should be able to handle it themselves but a little extra insurance makes for a much happier pick up group.

Some people seem to think "my area attack is weak therefore I shouldn't bother." Just encourage everybody to contribute, though, and that fruit won't have a chance!

If you get an add on you, run to the back of the malboro and let the tank pick it up from you there.

The tank CANNOT chase you to grab the add or else you'll all get Breath'd - game over.
