How can I transfer security software token to another phone?

Hi guys. If in case we decide to replace our phone that has the security software token, How do we go about it? My Iphone 4 is starting to breakdown a bit and I will prolly upgrade to a newer iphone in the future. Really would appreciate some insights and advice thanks

iphone full backup and then restore to your new phone should copy all the required stuff that was missing... Also make sure clould backup is enabled per app it will save the settings etc from the auth if that doesnt work you did write down your origonal install code for the auth right?

yup i wrote down the security code. guess it would be best to uninstall and then install/register it to the new phone right?

ok i just checked on my iphone notepad and the code is missing ill try and check the account management setting itself

Edit: I just checked on account management and there is an emergency removal code i can use to un-register it. Would this suffice for me to register it to another phone? thanks

yep it sure would you would de register it and then go though the process like its a brand new shinny mobile auth.. :P keep it secret keep it safe :P

The original install code won't do you any good since they expire after an hour. The only way I could figure to do it when I needed to wipe my phone was to just disable my current token with the emergency removal code (found on security token page of account management, you will have to answer a security question and put in this code when you do the removal) and then set up a new token as soon as you have the new phone set up. Yes this leaves your account vulnerable for 30-60min while you wipe/set up a new phone, but I figure that is a small chance to take, highly unlikely you are gonna get spammed the same exact time you are doing that.
