Now to start working on some UNP/CBBE replacements and we're good to go.
This just turns the nagle algorithm off, which results in packets being sent less than 200ms apart, ultimately it's -not supposed to- fix anything if the developer already turned nagle off. The TCP offload engine may result in neutering said fix anyway or making it worse, in your case. This fix gets thrown about more often in Action based games (eg Mabinogi, Wizardy Online, various FPS games) because these games have really bad network code to begin with. Ultimately it's perceived as cheating in these games because you end up with sub 200ms firing rates, which means the difference of Han shot first.I've done many tests making the change in the registry whilst monitoring my latency through the performance monitor, and I've come to discover that this "fix" is actually detriment to the game. My latency is always a good 20ms higher on average when using the "fix", and that's not to mention all the other detrimental affects it is having on your system.

You download either a generic or pre-set for a game package from the ENB website. After you get that you find the enbinjector.ini file and add the ffxiv.exe as a process.
From that point on it's just start up the ENB injector and then FFXIV.exe and you're good to go. That is assuming you already have a pre-set config for FFXIV. At the moment there isn't any on the site or available via reddit so far that I have found. You can try playing around with say the Skyrim package then editing the config .ini, but it's a tedious process. Not to mention when you load the game up the first time with said config your character looks like they're going to explode with light in every direction.
At best if you don't want to get really involved wait for Serj to post his .ini file or explain which setting package he used and go from there. It's nice because you can use SweetFX concurrently with ENB, although have to be running a decent enough machine.
I used this for skyrim and loved it, I would love to see ENB for FFXIV, I WANT MY DEPTH OF FIELD BACK!
It would be really sucky if SE says "yup you can do it!" then ban you lol. . .Knowing SE they would probably do that hehe
I would love to see an ENB config that brought back DoF to the game and made nights look like... nights. No more stadium lighting wherever I go. Would that last part be possible?
