<-- broken 1.0 sig because i'm lazy.
Every Ice III is like getting a Flashbang thrown in front of you. :P
Since Heavensward and DX11 I migrated to Reshade. Pretty easy to use and stable.
I'm using sweetfx + Reshade, pretty nice so far, no blinding effects, more vibrant, although it doesn't do magic like getting a real HD texture.
I think there's a thread for SweetFX+Reshade in the Gen. Disc. Forum here.
EDIT: Found it, http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...parison-Reborn.
I'm using the one (I think) is better than the OP, less blinding xD

You would have to have a super computer to run this and run end game dungeons at the same time >.>. What would you do with this installed? You wouldn't be actually able to do any trials or dungeons.
ENB/sweetfx arent so bad depending on how they're done. Some just go all out on visuals, the screenshots I posted above are only a big hit on performance when DoF is on (which is why you can easily set toggle keys to turn certain aspects like that on and off). I've been playing with around 50fps so long as I keep DoF turned off in dungeons
LoL. I have it running and let me assure you my trials and endgame dungeons run just fine.
Re-shade + SweetFX costs around 5-7FPS @1080p on my rusty old 7870. (No DoF, since I get nausea from that and any kind of motion blur)
Any computer that is not a 6 year old potato should be able to run with it.
But then there are people that play this game on a PS3 toaster...
These look really great in screenshots, but is it not a bit jarring in motion?

It can be detrimental, yes.
The Endboss Dragon of Vigil (the one that does the blue lines) is one example. Depending on your settings it can quite difficult to see pale blue effects on grey/white ground. Same goes for Shiva.
But you can always deactivate it on the fly (F12) for situations like that.
