We need speech bubbles!

Speech bubbles that are able to be turned off an on would be fantastic. Please Square enix, the NPC's have it, why not us?

Square enix, I don't know if you noticed but you have a great roleplaying community with this game, and you made so much efforts to have good emotes, why keep chat bubbles away ? I hope its not to be afraid that people mught find it disturbing, because it appears to me that this is no heavy job at all to make them optional. (on by default would be great)

My opinion is it should be available for the /say, /tell, /shout and /linksehll channels.

Maybe make it obvious early in game that you can turn them off with a help window.

I agree with the need for speech bubbles, I was a veteran WoW player since release and I remember when that game didn't have speech bubbles. Chat improved leaps and bounds when speech bubbles were introduced. But I also have to note with the sentiment that cheap tacked on speech bubbles is a bad idea. Given the quality of the game, I think high quality speech bubbles with a final fantasy feel would be ideal.

Speech bubbles with filter options would be great and they appear in the game already from time to time when you get close to an npc.

there is a need for speech bubbles you know i was in ulda city and was talking to someone, i keep scrolling up and down just to see the message of the one i am talking to because of the gil spam from bots makes it harder to read the chat window. if there was a chat bubble this will solve it or atleast ban the gil spammers quickly

I'll throw my two cents in here. I believe chat bubbles would be an excellent additional feature but I would like to see it be an optional feature that can be turned off when you don't want it.

Chat bubbles lets us stare at your wonderful character graphics at the same time.
Chat box lacks cleavage.
