    It\\'s because the ps3 is limited in its graphic processing power. The more people and monsters on the screen, the harder it is to process. So the ps3 uses a technique that limits the number of people on screen and loads them slower to compensate for the huge drain in graphical power they represent. A current gaming pc has many times more graphical power, and is able to load everyone instantly. But the ps3 is many years old technology.

    You don't get infinite quests because this is a Final Fantasy MMO. In XI we had no quests at all. Be happy you get 1 free level 50.

    i miss early xi .... partying with people, making friends, hanging with old friends.... and after a couple of hours u maybe get a level or three and have had some fun.......

    fate grinding is troll central.... this feels like wow and is pushing most mature gamers into crafting only or quest and grind while avoiding fates and blocking shout chat

    Back in 1.0, the two options for leveling were leve-linking with friends or grinding parties a la FFXI style. I don't care to go back to leve-linking parties (very repetitive and slow exp) and after rediscovering most of the world map in 2.0 I am noticing a big problem: the lack of good grinding spots. Monster camps are either a few mobs scattered over an open area or a dense collection of a variety of mobs clumped into a small "zoo". I would prefer going back to grinding parties instead of FATE zergs that kill the event within a minute of it starting; However, I don't see it happening unless FATE exp gets nerfed and mob distribution gets changed significantly...

    Fates and all the 'dynamic events' are the worst addition to mmorpg's. I thought quest grinding was mindless and monotonous until I saw and experienced the mindless zerg-train in motion. It is not fun.

    I noticed this more than ever yesterday. I understand it's a popular fate because of the experience, but the "It's Not Lupus" fight against Cancer the giant crab is almost unplayable. The targets and players disappear so often that I don't see how anyone can rank at all. I am only there to get one level and then gold that fight so that I can get the minion, then I'm off to grind some crafting skills. In its current state, I don't think that will be possible.

    And then there's the part where this is as you said, an MMO. And this is 2013. They should be striving to offer a very wide variety of content and have it at least up to par with the competition.

    FATE's are really just annoying because you can't get to them fast enough and get full credit because mobs die too quickly. Less mobs, much higher HP thus making fates last longer would probably solve this issue.

    Also, if they had side-quests reset every day, then they would just need to worry about adding quests to fill out 40-50 more efficiently and probably would be done with that aspect of the game for a while.

    Are you saying that the concept of FATEs are bad or that they are poorly designed where people can easily abuse em and not put in much effort? They are 2 different things. Yer also forgetting that leaves will give you more XP than FATEs so unless you are looking to power level your way to 50, you do have access to variety.
