PS3 bluetooth keyboard can't type in game

I got a bluetooth keyboard connected to PS3, but it won't work in game.

I tested the keyboard by connecting it to iPad and all key works fine.

Reconnected to PS3 but in game nothing happens.
Some say the "enable direct chat" needed to be turned on.
I tried that on and off, nothing happens.

Is it only certain types of keyboard works with the game, or there are more test I can do to confirm the keyboard is in fact working with PS3?
Will the patch this wednesday update this?

I use a "Logitech Cordless Mediaboard Pro for Ps3" and it works w/o any issues.

The ps3 is not compatible with all bluetooth devices. This is a hardware deficit within the ps3 itself and cannot be fixed with an update.

Mine works great BUT when it goes to sleep mode I cannot reconnect unless I 're install' the bluetooth keyboard. Anyone got a solution for this? Thanks

Bluetooth is software controlled. It can easily be fixed via a software update.

Sorry, but you are wrong. The ps3 is not compatible with bluetooth devices after 2.0, which is why stereo bluetooth devices do not work with ps3. I suspect the keyboard is 3.0 since it's new. Again, this is a hardware issue with the ps3 being an older model console.

What model keyboard did you purchase? You can easily look up the specs to find out if it's compatible.
