I like where you are going with this, SE, and I think it's a good start for the system. I have some ideas though that might spice it up a bit (since you guys are being so quiet about the system in general!)

Currently, many Guild Tasks require items that can simply be bought from NPCs in the same stall as the task master. This is not very engaging or fun.
All requested items should be items not purchasable by an NPC.
This will get players to interact with each other more through the Market Wards & trade in general.

Also, Guild Tasks only seem to apply to crafters and gatherers.
A Hunting Board á la FF12, wherein DoW/DoM can go to select "marks" to kill should be implemented. This board should be tiered in rank like the current system, and provide instanced, challenging NMs for the player to hunt.
You guys have an awesome opportunity right now to make a lot of players very happy. Many of us were hoping Tasks would be like FF12 Marks. They still can be!

The rewards for the items are nice; 100 wind shards is nothing to scoff at! But I think there's room for improvement.
Skill Points should be increased a bit to be more in line with the amount of time between Guild Tasks.
Most people are reporting 500 SP for a completed Task at the rank 10 tier. 500 "free" SP is nice, but when you weigh it against 1) the 24 hour re-use period and 2) the fact that one can receive 500 SP from a single synth in a Local Guildleve, it doesn't quite seem to balance.

I'm assuming that higher rank Tasks will be implemented soon so I won't even make any suggestions about that

Anyone have any other suggestions?
