If I'm near you, I'll pop a raise. But oftentimes I won't make the effort to run out to the middle of nowhere and raise someone. Chances are: someone's on their way or near you already.

Haha, I've been that dead guy! But someone has always eventually helped me out if I askedFor what it's worth, I've walked over a few dead folks without noticing them before (though it's often because I'm too busy waving at the chocobo that's just mysteriously standing there by itself... you'd think that would tip me off). I'm pretty embarrassed when the dead guy I'm standing on speaks up and asks for a raise.I'll always go out of my way to raise someone if I see it in chat, but I've probably run over my fair share of people silently hoping to get a res.
I usually only find nice people...except yesterday when I got into a guildhest and a player called me a newb because I didn't know what to do...and then said for me to read the instructions and called me a newb again...
I would have loved to read those instructions that I WAS reading when I saw you and the other two members of the group running into the fight. I guess we all knew what to do in every situation when it was our first time somewhere in a game where every boss is unique....
Be polite to people and explain to them what needs to be done and it will be done.
