Please let us choose which music will play (mounts, dungeons, leves, etc.)

I'd love to ride my chocobo around but the music is just so annoying compared to the coeurl mount music. I'd also love to listen to the specific dungeon soundtracks without being interrupted by fight music every pull. And when I'm doing a bunch of leves, I'd rather listen to the zone music that I'm in than the levequest music.

You can take matters into your own hands, just to be clear. iTunes? Or whatever other music media you'd use. Don't need to rely on SE for something so simple.

Isn't there an option to adjust the music volume? I've never actually looked for that, so I'm not sure. If not, I can see it being a bit of a problem trying to hear the sound effects and such if you'd have to just mute it so you can hear your own music. Still an option though.

If the file keeping is similar to FFXI, you can swap out files for your own customization, albeit in XI, there were some limitations.

You can already toggle mount music on/off. Look in the System Configuration settings.

I think the OP means to be able to change the music file that plays in specific situations. So if you were to enter Haukke Manor the game would recognize to play Haukke Manor theme (which is awesome), but as soon as you are engaged in battle the game sets priority to battle music to play until out of combat.
This game also needs the "/battlebgm on/off" command so I can quest/explore while listening to the zone music and never losing the mood because I aggro or have to complete a 30s fight for the quest.

You can also turn the mounted music off so you just hear the area music when you are riding.

Yes, this exactly. I didn't know about being able to turn off mount music, so thank you for those who suggested it. Now we just need to be able to disable battle music and levequest music in the same manner.
