Add a "First Time Player Accepted" Option to the Duty Finder

Just an idea. Add a "First Time Player Accepted" checkbox in the duty finder so that people doing IDs for the first time and do not wish to skip cutscenes or do speedruns can be grouped with others like them (or any other players who have this box checked, indicating they accept playing with someone who may be experiencing the ID for the first time and may want to run the dungeon normally and watch the cutscenes). Of course, this will have the added incentive of bonus exp or rewards if the matched group actually contains first timers.

It's basically an opt-in/opt-out solution to the speedrun issue that people are having for AK and other end-game dungeons. Yes, it segregates the community (well, within DF anyway), but the fact is that both speedrunners and first-timers have valid points and the current situation basically requires one side to give in to the other, and we all know that will never happen. I'd personally prefer a longer queue knowing I won't be forced to play a certain way or get into an argument with strangers.

What do people think about this?

The irony is the idea that speedrunners would accept a longer queue to avoid waiting for cutscenes... ._.

I think this is a good idea, but believe the option should be "speed run" since the default and intended way of running the dungeon is to kill trash and/or watch cut scenes.

    I think that's a great idea!
As well, it can help people realize that if someone is new they may not have a full understanding of the mechanics and there is a reason the Tank is moving slowly ahead looking around every corner

Last night was my first group, first dungeon. I mentioned right away that this is my first time and I was the tank, wanted to be honest. No one replied (PS3 players?)

We got through the dungeon just fine everyone doing there thing properly and I said "great job everyone". Still no reply lol .. it was weird

no, just no. I prefer speed runs myself but am intelligent enough to realize how badly this would be abused.

It just goes to show it's an entitlement thing.

While it seems like your heart is in the right place imo, I don't think you should put a bonus on it. The moment you do, the speedrunners will go checking the box anyway just to get the bonus (and will talk about the 'penalty' of not checking the box if questioned). Seen it happen too many times before.

I think most of us who are fine with the first-timers are the kinds of people who don't need a bonus to select it in the first place. But the idea itself, yah, I like that. =)

I already wait 45 minutes for a Keep run, the last thing I need is options to make it longer.

Yeah, they wouldn't use that system in the end anyway, and would keep trying to force their "skip it all" mentality on everyone else. They're self-centered and selfish, so I don't expect any other outcome besides that one.

Note: I'm talking about the ones that act like jerks, not the patient ones that understand how the duty finder works and respect the rest of the playerbase.

This is basically the same problem as not making an option to form duty finder groups within your own server - the queue times will easily take twice as long.
