    looking for obelisk meld suggestions (DRG Weapon)

    So currently I use Ifrit's harpoon but I have an obelisk sitting on my retainer that I got back in 1.0.

    Can it be melded to be better than ifrit's and if so what would people suggest I meld it with?

    The ifrit's harpoon is better. The strength is lower, and the substats can be melded better than Ifrit's, but Ifrit's has more raw damage. The raw damage is much, much more important than other stats on your weapon.

    Sadly, the Obelisk is probably best to either sell to someone who can't beat Ifrit, or if it's bound to make into Materia. =/
