Scholar only allowed to be a Healer in Duty Finder

I can play a healer or dps as my scholar. This issue comes when I party with my healer and tank friends. The duty finder then places me as a healer and will not let us start an instance.
Any way to change my role to dps or the duty finder allowing a group of healer/healer/tank/dps instead of healer/tank/dps/dps?

I am pretty sure it will not change. Duty finder is not the place for "experiments". A lot of people don't want to be stuck in an instance with 3 DDs as Heal, because one of them thinks "tanking is ez bro". Same goes the other way round, fighting something like Demon Wall or other DPS heavy fights with only one DPS? I'd rather opt-out.

Play as ARN/SUM if your healer friend is around, or get a fourth member to join (even in /shout there should be more than enough DD to fill your party, as long as they get into a dungeon quickly). Once you tackle the 8 man stuff, you can easily both go healer.

A Scholar is a healer job, not a dps job. That will never change. It sounds like you chose the wrong job.

Yes. Yes it is. If you want to dps as an ARC mainclass, you just spent 2 weeks to play SMN / ACN.

Even if you dont realize this yet, theres a HUGE HUUUUUGE difference in dps when comparing summoner and scholar. It will become clearer later on. Also, scholars cannot need on tomes that only has intellect and no mind. Since intellect is a dps stat and mind is the healer stat. You havent noticed this yet, because at your level all gear has both stats.
